Research Examples from Scout and Hazel

Scout's Intro:
"I really enjoy doing collages which is why you will notice that there are quite a few. I was inspired by the field trips we did (the BLM mural, the Aids Memorial Pathway and the Pacific Bonsai Museum). We had vocabulary words every day. I tried to place thimages from our field trips next to something else from that day (notes, a collage, etc.)"
Artist Bio:
Hello, I am Scout Alana Rabideau (she/her) and I am currently an eighth grader. I am really interested in dance and I crochet and make jewelry.
Hazel's Intro:
In my sketchbook I have all of my notes, drawings and photos from our research about the different kinds of monuments around us. We went to the Black Lives Matter mural, the AIDS memorial, the bonsai museum, and the large George Washington statue in UW. I made sketches, collages, lists of vocabulary, and observations about what I was learning.

Artist Bio:
My name is Hazel McLaughlin, I use she/they pronouns, and I am in 7th grade. I love to do art, go skiing and listen to music.
